Students are taking these courses for enrichment and lifelong learning purposes. The SME is responsible for creating course proposals in an area of expertise, knowledge and skill, and submitting these proposals in a timely manner, each semester they wish to teach. They will coordinate with the Life Enrichment (LE) Program Manager and staff to ensure all details of the course are finalized and completed, including providing information on projected course materials and supplies cost to determine an appropriate class fee. They are then responsible for preparing course materials that will engage a variety of learners. Communicating with LE staff as well as students is a vital skill and professionalism is key.
