The Laboratory Assistant, Ultrasound position for LCCC is a part-time, non-benefited, position that is responsible for providing student oversight and assisting Diagnostic Medical Sonography faculty in providing training and laboratory sessions to students in LCCC’s Ultrasound Laboratory covering topics such as scanning protocols, technical factors, patient care, equipment operation, and other topics as assigned. This position’s responsibilities also include working with and around medical equipment; inspecting and properly using medical sonography equipment; maintaining equipment and training aids; cleaning lab areas and equipment; preparing training materials; and other assistance with program needs as directed by supervising faculty. The Instructor/Clinical Coordinator of Emergency Medical Services (EMS) position is responsible for the teaching courses within the field of discipline, this includes instructing both EMT and Paramedic courses and providing quality-learning opportunities that assist the student to meet their educational goals and career aspirations in the CAAHEP-accredited Paramedic program. This position delivers student-centered, hands-on, active instruction in didactic, clinical and vehicular courses. This position is also responsible for coordinating and evaluating effectiveness of the clinical affiliate sites to include communicating program requirements, course objectives and academic expectations to the clinical sites. The Instructor/Clinical Coordinator of EMS prepares clinical site rotations for students, and conduct site visits during the affiliation while maintaining all clinical education records, and assists with laboratory and other equipment maintenance. This position also serves as a liaison between students and the Medical Director. This position is a 12 month, benefited, faculty position.

The Program Manager, GEAR UP position is a full-time, grant funded, and benefited position with LCCC. This position is responsible for leading the development, implementation, and evaluation of student activities and programs, in accordance with the national and state specific Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs (GEAR UP) grant policies, as well as the mission of Laramie County Community College (LCCC).
The GEAR UP Manager plans, directs and oversees the operations and fiscal health of the GEAR UP grant at LCCC. This position is also accountable for leading the work of the GEAR UP staff by planning and maintaining work systems, procedures, and policies that enable and encourage the optimum performance of staff. The Program Manager motivates and assists staff to achieve grant objectives while communicating upward to Deans and Directors by offering suggestions and feedback due to a closer involvement in the day-to-day workings of the grant.
The Program Manager guides staff to take responsibility for their jobs and goals, delegate responsibility and expect accountability and regular feedback from those whom they, in turn, hire, evaluate and supervise. The Program Manager position manages the grant budget, creates plans and develops and coordinates the logistics for student and parent workshops when necessary. This position ensures that goals and objectives of the GEAR UP grant are accounted for in programming in the LCCC service area. The Program Manager is ultimately responsible for the selection, training, scheduling, delegation and on-going supervision of staff paid from the GEAR UP grant at LCCC.

The Instructor / Clinical Coordinator of Nursing is a fulltime-benefited position that is responsible for program instruction, the overall coordination of clinical instruction and coordination of clinical rotations for the LCCC Nursing Program. Job Summary:
The position Specialist, Systems and Technology Support provides, along with the entire ITS team, Integrated Technology Support services throughout the whole campus community. The ITS team strives to provide reliable, current, and functional hardware, networks, and services while meeting the college’s technological needs in a continuously advancing sector. These support services include but are not limited to: monitoring the daily performance and troubleshooting of campus computers; responding and resolving inquiries regarding computer software and hardware problems; installation of equipment for employee and student use, performing proper setup of hardware, operating systems, and software; train college employees on the use of personal computers; monitor, troubleshoot, and maintain campus servers; assist the Network Administrator; analyze, test, perform maintenance and troubleshoot campus systems with minimal interruption of service; complete necessary documentation for work performed; and assist in inventory of software and hardware. The Peer Mentor is a part-time, non-benefited position and is federally funded through a grant program focused on assisting college students who are first generation, low income, and/or have documented disabilities. Responsibilities of this position include providing direct and indirect support to aid students in navigating and being successful in college. This is accomplished through in-person and phone sessions with students, group Lunch and Learn trainings or workshops, and activities made available in Canvas. Support will primarily be in the areas of study skills, time management, college navigation, and completing FAFSAs. Additional support may be requested for other office tasks or projects as needed.

Job Summary:
Leading the development, implementation, and evaluation of student activities program in accordance with the national and state specific Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs (GEAR UP) grant policies as well as the mission of Laramie County Community college (LCCC).
The GEAR UP Coordinator (Coordinator) is responsible for carrying out the goals set by the federal grant. They do so by setting goals for their assigned areas. The Coordinator motivates and supports their staff in achieving grant objectives. They also lead upward, by offering suggestion and feedback to upper management. Because the Coordinator is more involved in the day-to-day workings of the grant, they provide valuable information to upper management to help improve the grant’s bottom line.
The Coordinator supervises a group of tutors and liaisons in a school district. They are responsible for hiring and evaluating their staff performance. The Coordinator position is also responsible for budgeting, creating, planning, developing, and coordinating logistics for student and parent workshops. This position is responsible for implementing goals and objectives of the GEAR UP grant in all its programming such as: transitional advising, financial aid information, college preparation, and retention initiatives for secondary students and their parents in the LCCC service area. The Coordinator is responsible for the selection, training, scheduling, delegation and on-going supervision of the tutors and providing online and handout support materials for students and parents.

The Head Women’s Volleyball Coach is a full time benefited position responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Volleyball Program. In addition, this position will assist the Director of Athletics with the long term planning and development of the program. The Head Coach provides effective leadership, recruitment, coaching and monitoring of student-athletes to encourage successful academic and team performance. The Head Coach is responsible for planning the annual competition schedule, practice schedules, program administration, program budget, and providing for the health and safety of the athletes involved in the program. The Head Coach works with department and facility managers to ensure facilities, equipment, and schedules are adequate for the program needs. This position is also responsible for working with the LCCC Foundation to raise operational and scholarship funds for the program.

This position will teach students important skills in journalism and mass communication through a co-curricular education model that sees students apply classroom lessons to an independent student media that includes a printed monthly newspaper; daily digital updates, including social media, Wordpress-powered website and e-mail newsletter; and a cable TV station that is prime for an expansion of programming. The instructor would work daily with students, including occasional nights and weekends, to produce journalistic news and feature reports for a variety of platforms (print and digital) while instructing classes in photography, graphics, UX, video, broadcast, etc. The instructor will also assist in curriculum updates and transfer agreements with high schools and universities.

The Student Assistant position for LCCC’s Mass Media Multi Media Department is a part-time non-benefited position responsible for assisting the department with routine tasks that support the day-to-day operations of the department.
