Salary and Benefits: This is a full-time, benefited Administrator l level position. Starting salary range: $89,766.00 - $101,475.00/annually, depending upon experience.

Job Summary: 

Core responsibilities of this position include:

 

The COO will actively engage in the daily operations of the LCCC Foundation including, general staff operations, customer service, develop a high level of understanding for the policies and procedures of the Foundation, and become proficient in the office's CRM system. This position will provide supervision of the departments' development officers, while actively participating in development work, working to establish development strategy and engage with donors through stewardship and gift solicitation. The COO will have a significant and active presence in the office to support team members, donors and college employees.

 

Other tasks may be assigned based on contemporary institutional need.

Essential Functions

  • Office Operations/CRM Oversight
  • Development Work (Development Committee liasion & development engagement with donors)
  • Supervision of Employees
  • Engagement in college committees and outreach

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Skills and ability to perform as an organized, self-starter. Able to act on own initiative while exercising reasonable judgment.
  • Ability to engage in productive conflict resolution and provide supportive and constructive supervision to team members.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism in all circumstances.
  • Advanced working knowledge and ability with personal computing applications – specifically Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
  • Excellent communication and service skills; ability to communicate clearly with a variety of people, in one-to-one and small group settings, ability to communicate and write in a clear and informative manner, effectively listen, and be able to handle escalating situations with concern and confidence.
  • Ability to support time-based requests; able to function effectively in a multi-tasking, fast-paced environment with deadlines, frequent interruptions, and some interpersonal pressure.
  • Ability to deal effectively and professionally with people; proven capabilities in establishing appropriate professional rapport, with courtesy and tact, to accurately determine others’ needs, collect necessary information, and follow-through when requested.

Physical/Mental Demands: 

  • To successfully perform the essential functions of this position, an employee must be able to maintain appropriate composure and necessary confidentiality and respect privacy needs of employees, students, donors
  • The ability to comply with highly inflexible deadlines is required to successfully perform the essential functions of this position; there will be multiple occurrences of sudden, urgent task completion required
  • While performing the essential functions of this position a variable work schedule may be required including long workdays, evenings, and weekends as needed
  • While performing the essential duties of this position, an employee would frequently be required to move around the assigned work areas as well as within hallways, meeting rooms, and other parts of the campus facilities
  • There may be multiple/daily instances of prolonged sitting, standing, and personal computer use, which would include keyboard and/or mouse usage as well as viewing a computer monitor
  •  An employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds to perform essential position functions

Qualifications

Education and Experience Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution in Communications, Marketing, Business or a related field of Study.
  • Five years of working experience in a professional environment.
  • Three years of experience in non-profit, donor development/and or developing project level strategic plans and establishing successful business relationships in the Cheyenne and/or Laramie County area
  • Valid Driver’s License and ability to be insured by the College’s insurance provider.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Two years of supervisory experience of two (2) or more staff member in a professional environment.
  • Two years experience working with and volunteer Board of Directors.
  • Master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution in Communications, Marketing, Business, or a related field of study.
