Core responsibilities of this position include:
The PASS (Peer-Assisted Study Sessions) Leader position is a part-time, non-benefited position in the Library and Learning Commons, total work hours not to exceed 79 hours per month. This position provides direct, high impact academic support to LCCC students by helping struggling students understand difficult course material, complete homework, set academic goals, and increase study, test-taking, learning, and college success skills through small group discussion sessions for specific LCCC courses. PASS leaders facilitate independent, active learning and increase students’ learning confidence: They lead study groups, guide students’ understanding of course content, and help students learn to answer their own questions or solve problems. The position requires individuals with excellent communication, creativity, and leadership abilities. All PASS sessions are conducted in a structured and supervised environment on the LCCC Cheyenne campus. PASS leaders provide excellent customer service to students, foster symbiotic relationships with departments and instructors, increase campus awareness of PASS and Learning Commons programs and initiatives, and perform other duties related to the PASS program or Learning Commons as assigned.

Start Date: Spring, 2019.
Compensation: $10.51/hr. Commensurate with education and experience.
An employee in this position may perform some of these responsibilities on an infrequent basis.
