The ACES Adjunct Instructor position is a part-time non-benefitted position responsible for Adult Education (AE) classroom instruction and related activities. Students in the LYFE program need to prepare to take the Wyoming High School Equivalency Certificate (HSEC) assessment, which is based on the College and Career Readiness section of the Common Core Standards. The faculty member is responsible for performing assigned duties during the day, evening, or weekend on any Laramie County Community College campus or outreach center as assigned. At a minimum, the related activities include instruction; course and instructional preparation; instructional counseling; academic advising; completing applicable program documentation; serving on various committees; and participating in local, state, regional, and national professional activities and organizations. A faculty member performs all other duties as directed by the Lead Instructor, Program Manager, Division Dean, Vice President of Academic Affairs, or the President or designee.
Other tasks may be assigned based on contemporary institutional need.
