Job Summary:

Core responsibilities of this position include:

  • Filing documents
  • Copying/scanning documents
  • Maintaining the staff break room, restocking supplies
  • Covering the Office as needed
  • Assisting with mailings or document organization
  • Data entry into Microsoft Excel spreadsheets
  • Creating file labels/address labels using Microsoft Word      

Other tasks may be assigned based on contemporary institutional need.

 

Start Date: September/2017. Position is open until filled. 

 

Compensation: $8.92 per hour.

Essential Functions

  • Arrange and sort documents in an efficient and methodical manner
  • File documents
  • Copy/scan documents
  • Light cleaning and organizing as needed
  • Inventory and replenish office supplies in the staff break room
  • Data entry into Microsoft Excel spreadsheets
  • Create file labels/address labels using Microsoft Word

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Must have working knowledge of the alphabet
  • Must be accurate and detail oriented
  • Good communication skills
  • Friendly, positive attitude
  • Basic knowledge and use of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel

Physical/Mental Demands: 

  • While performing the essential duties of this position, an employee would frequently be required to move around the assigned work space as well as within hallways, meeting rooms, and other parts of the campus facilities
  • There may be instances of personal computer use which would include keyboard and/or mouse usage as well as viewing a computer monitor
  • An employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds to perform essential position functions
  • Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus
  • The overall work environment requires the mental ability to shift focal point quickly due to interruptions; an employee must be able to mentally track multiple projects and tasking as well
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate; however, there may be unexpected instances of somewhat loud sounds

 

 

Qualifications

Minimum:  

  • Current LCCC Federal Workstudy eligible students enrolled in the Fall 2017
  • High school diploma or GED

 

Preferred:

  • NON-Health Sciences Major for confidentiality purposes
