This is a part-time, auxiliary-funded position. Continuation of position is dependent upon auxiliary fund budget.


Job Summary:

Use basic computer programs and software.  Perform general office support tasks: including light bookkeeping, scheduling meetings, trainings, or classes, general reception duties, and greeting students and general public.

Compensation: Minimum $10.03 per hour.


Screening Date: Position is open until filled.


Start Date: As soon after screening as practical. For full consideration aply by July 14th, 2017.


Essential Functions

  • Perform basic office support tasks:  Answer telephone, take and transfer messages; screen individuals and phone calls. Refer to appropriate source and/or schedule appointments; answer questions
  • Maintain calendars and schedule appointments
  • Perform light bookkeeping duties (e.g., typing or preparing appropriate forms, purchase orders, and vouchers)
  • Perform customer relations duties, screen calls and individuals, and make appointments
  • Proofread and edit own work and work of others, to correct errors in grammar, punctuation, spelling, sentence and paragraph structure
  • Schedule meetings and room arrangements for classes, conferences, seminars, workshops, and trainings, and set ups for classes
  • Make arrangements for equipment (e.g., overhead projectors, video equipment, smart boards, and sound systems)
  • Oversee office function
  • Interact professionally, diplomatically, and appropriately with customers, students and instructors, and general public
  • Provide rosters for instructors
  • Notify instructors, students, as to class cancelations—due to low registration, weather conditions or other unforeseen problems
  • Assist with scheduling basic meetings and room/equipment arrangements for conferences, seminars, workshops or special events, meetings or programs
  • Maintain confidentiality



  •  High School Diploma 


  • At least one year of experience working in a customer/client service and support role
