    Job Summary:

    Attending an annual meeting of all college adjunct at the beginning of each school year; submitting an LCCC formatted syllabus for each approved CEP course taught; collaborating with assigned LCCC Lead Instructor regarding common syllabi, changes to curriculum and assessments, scheduling of Lead Instructor’s site visits to high school classroom, and completing an annual professional development activity as determined by LCCC Lead Instructor each year.  This position also requires submitting accurate college enrollment and registration materials for students; maintaining a portfolio of sample student work; and checking college rosters and posting college grades for CEP courses as required by LCCC CEP office.  



    Essential Functions

    • Demonstrate a thorough and accurate knowledge of their field or discipline
    • Evaluate student performance fairly and consistently and return student work promptly to promote maximum learning
    • Participate in ongoing, systematic, and documented assessment of student learning for all courses, programs, and the College’s general education core abilities
    • Become familiar with and comply with all College policies and procedures
    • Participate in College, division, and program activities as requested
    • Contribute to the growth and enhancement of the College’s mission and programs


    Education and experience requirements are the same as that required and approved for all adjuncts in the same content teaching area.   However, per state guidelines, a prospective CEP adjunct who is already PTSB certified and/or fully approved by a public school district to teach in the content area at the secondary level, may agree to a compliance plan for acquiring necessary credentials or graduate credits.  Such a plan would be jointly created and approved by the teacher, the dean, and the VPAA, and may span up to three to five years per state guidelines.  The adjunct on a compliance plan may teach LCCC credit courses during that time.
