This position is only available for Federal Work Study eligible LCCC students enrolled in at least 6 credit hours for the Fall 2016 semester. You will need a resume to complete your application.

 

Job Summary:  This position will be responsible for performing non-assessment duties in the class and lab that support faculty members providing instruction to students enrolled in courses with the Engineering Technology program. Other tasks may be assigned based on contemporary institutional need.

 

Position open until filled.

 

Start Date: Spring 2017.

 

 

Essential Functions

  • Performing duties in the class and lab that support faculty members providing instruction to Engineering students such as assisting students with software and hardware applications
  • Assist instructor with set-up, tear down, maintenance, and storage of materials and equipment
  • Order, receive and deliver materials, supplies and equipment
  • Operate computer using Microsoft Office suite of products
  • Receive and direct phone inquiries
  • Process paperwork required for a variety of service related transactions
  • Follow instructions provided by instructors to satisfy the needs of students, customers and community partners.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of CADD software and detailing equipment
  • Ability to troubleshoot software and hardware
  • Ability to lift 30 pounds or more
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office

Physical/Mental Demands:  

  • Lift 30 pounds or more

Qualifications

Minimum:

  • LCCC student currently enrolled with a minimum of 6 credit hours
  • Possess a current driver’s license

Preferred:

  • LCCC student with one (1) year of Engineering or Engineering Technology experience
  • Experience using computer software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, Revit and equipment such as a Laser Engraver, 3D Prototype Printer, and large format Printer and Cutter
