    Job Summary:

    This position is responsible for teaching training lab based courses in the Equine Studies program (Equine Training Management) such as Equine Evaluation, Basic Management and Training, Advanced Training, Advanced Horse Management and Training, and Individualized Training. This position requires the instructor to work with other faculty members and when appropriate an advisory committee in the development of curriculum. The faculty member in this position is responsible for performing assigned duties during the day, evening, or weekend. 


    Starting Date: As soon as possible after screening.


    Compensation: Competitive depending on experience and qualifications.


    Position is open until filled.

    Essential Functions


    • Prepare, instruct, and assess student learning
    • Maintain a safe learning environment
    • Prepare, submit and maintain reports related to student learning
    • Assist with preparing, updating and administering the course syllabus
    • Recruit, advise and mentor Equine students
    • Develop and promote Equine courses and programs
    • Collaborate with the Equine  and Agriculture department faculty members
    • Assist the department, school, and college by assessing and communicating student learning outcomes
    • Facilitate shared governance by communicating within the department, school, and across the college
    • Participate in the Center for Teaching and Learning’s  adjunct faculty orientation and other faculty development initiatives




    • Associate’s degree in a field related to this position
    • Three years of related experience is required



    •  Bachelor’s degree in related field
